If India’s vibrant culture intrigues you and you are planning to pay a visit, here’s an update on E-Visa service as announced by the Indian Government.

India's E-Visa policy just got liberalised

India’s E-Visa policy just got liberalised

India’s e-visa service will now have three components: E-Tourist visa, E-medical visa and E-business visa. The E-visa services has now been extended to eight countries namely Angola, Rwanda, Niger, Cyprus, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Mali and Burundi. The government is now working to extend the same to five other countries soon. So, now a total of 158 countries can avail of the E-Visa services.

Business and medical visa are going the electronic way for the first time in the country. And a tourist can take E-tourist visa and E-business visa for double entry into India. So, you can visit other countries of Southeast Asia and come back. For E-medical visa, the government has provided triple entry, which is a redeeming feature. In order to encourage filming in India, film visa has been streamlined and rationalised too.

Good news is that the duration of an E-Tourist visa has been extended from 30 to 60 days. Also you can now apply for visa 120 days in advance from the earlier 30 days. Besides the 16 designated International airports, E-Visa holders can now enter India via the five sea-ports i.e i.e. Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, Goa and Mangalore.

Wait no more! Unravel deep mysteries with a visit to incredible India today!
