The Indian Tourism Ministry is all set to unveil an electronic visa facility which will make tourism to India convenient and hassle-free
Tourism Secretary, Parvez Dewan, while talking at a seminar on Thought Leadership, on the 24th of March, 2014, revealed that “India will have one of the friendliest visa regimes once the electronic visa facility is introduced.”
With this facility the procedure for applying for an Indian visa will become easier. Visa applications will be completed online and sent electronically to a processing office. Once granted, a document will be e-mailed back to the requester.
The electronic visa will be time-saving and convenient for travellers visiting India.
The announcement came at a seminar titled ‘Think Tourism-Think India: Thought Leadership Meet,’ organised by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
