#1 Pakeezah Burger, Jangpura

Get the real taste of Afghani Cuisine at this restaurant near Kashmiri Park, Jangpura. From the chefs to big wrap with chicken, french fries, eggs and spices. Their unique recipes include spicy Bamya (lady fingers cooked with onions and tomatoes in typical Afghan style) and Zhal, a frozen sweet delight. The food tastes even better thanks to the eatery’s Middle Eastern vibe. A meal for two will cost you around Rs. 500

#2 Kabul Restaurant, Jangpura

This actually is a little Kabul opposite Kashmiri Park in Jangpura. If you love meat, this is paradise! Try their special Chicken Korma complemented with a naan: just one thick naan is enough to satisfy both your hunger and your taste buds. Locals love their Kofta Korma and Dopiaza, and some can’t get enough of their Kashmiri delicacies, esepcially the mutton  Yakhni. Don’t bother going during the Ramzan month, though: you will find the shutters down, as they all leave for home to celebrate the festival. A meal for two will cost you around Rs 500.

#3 Fruit Sandwich, Jain Coffee House, Chawri Bazaar

It’s a simple sandwich, with a fruity twist. What makes it special is that it’s been served at Jain Coffee since 1948. Located just a few minutes’ walk away from Chawri Bazar Metro station, the humble coffee house dishes up fruit between the bread, a layer of cottage cheese in the middle, with fresh pomegranate sprinkled upon. Scoop it up with their wonderful Kesar Chutney, and wash it down with cold coffee or tea. These healthy and delectable fruit sandwiches cost just Rs. 50, with the fruit of your choice.
