South Korean Cops Go Gangnam Style!
If you’re ever in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, and spot people everywhere, wearing violet coloured coats, dark blue pants, black wayfarer sunglasses, black berets and matching shoes, rest assured you’re not in a pop video—you’ve just encountered the planet’s coolest tourism police!
Inspired by the world-famous South Korean pop star, Psy, whose video boasts of more than 1.7 billion views on YouTube, the country’s Tourism Board has launched this new breed of tourism police. With uniforms designed by Psy’s personal stylist, the first batch of 100 men and women are ready and trained to communicate in several languages, including English, Japanese and Mandarin.
Not only will the tourism police provide you with helpful tips, but can also pose with you for your very own Gangnam Style video!
