Spinachh Travels To Ramoji Film City!

It had been sometime that I travelled someplace new. But I could not ignore the fact that I was tight on my budgets. So I decided to choose just 1 place, such that my wish to travel is fulfilled and is enriching at the same time. While going through a lot of places around and afar, Ramoji Film City struck my chord and sounded just right – new place, new city, new state and yet big enough in itself. I asked for an opinion around. Reaction was….

frnds say Updated

BUT, my feeling…

rfc feeling Updated

So, with the will to explore and my Canon 60D standing strong by my side, i took off to Hyderabad to find Ramoji Film City to be…

1. REALLLLLY Grand!

1666 acres of land is huge. But the grandeur created there is what makes that 1666 acres huge place, is what makes is look the double of what it is! 56 gardens, each decorated with a different theme, 78 fountains and beautiful architecture fulfils every film makers dream and leaves every  tourist in awe!

2. Nature Friendly

Ramoji Filmcity is beautifully green and well maintained. Gardens like the Butterfly Garden, Sanctuary Garden, Dream Valley, etc. are refreshing to walk by!

While the gardens are a definite attraction of the place, a newly opened birds park called Wings is what took my special notice. The park is absolutely colourful and peaceful.

3. Another Level Of Filmy

You will be impressed to see a huge hospital inside the Film City, until you will realise that it’s a film set! OOPS! But trust me, that is even more impressive.

There are mock restaurants, shops, and not to forget THE Multi Purpose building which is used by filmmakers as a court , police station, etc.

While the location is so, the drivers and other locals of Ramoji filmcity proudly boast of how many stars they have seen. Our driver said that he had seen Hritik Roshan, Rajnikanth, Ajay Devgan and a lot others.

And guess what? I did see Rohit Shetty myself! 😀

4. An Adventure

For the people who feel Ramoji Film City is a “Family with kids” place, this new introduction by Ramoji Film City definitely breaks that perception! I got to explore my literal wild side, thanks to Sahas, the adventure park here!

Sahas is known to have Asia’s largest net course and has very interesting concepts like Human Foosball as well!

5. Festive and Happy

This is one of the most beautiful things I have come across- The Grand and beautiful weddings at Ramoji Film City.

Weddings here are grand and expensive with unique set ups. Most of the weddings happen in Mughal gardens or Limelight garden while the side functions happen at different locations like Princess street (above), Hotel Sitara, etc.

6. Comfortable And Cozy

With a stay option of every kind, Ramoji filmcity made it very easy for a traveller like me to stay alone and yet safe!  While there are more than 1 stay options, Tara is the best suited for solo women travellers looking for slightly budget stay.

7. Bringing Out The Child In Me

A lot of people call it funny. But for me, it got out, the child in me which I enjoyed!

I enjoyed the Filmi Duniya, learnt how a movie is made and got to feel an earthquake at the 3d theatre and lots more! 😛

To sum it all up, I may not have climbed a hill or done crazy things but this was my first successful solo trip. I explored the peace of travelling alone while my parents were in peace as Ramoji Filmcity is a safe place to be!

And guess what? Now there is no looking back! Keep watching me on twitter @_spinachh!
